In
these paintings, my goal is describing the atmospheres. I want to
deliver atmospheres through my paintings. I’m interested in the
painting technique of the great masters and I have combined
it to my way of painting.
My starting points for these paintings
are realistic, naturalistic and also personal scenery, and light
and shadows of the scenery. I have tried to find naturally
suitable colours and colour combinations for scenery painting.
Especially trees, sky and water interest me in scenery painting..
I often examine scenery by walking in the nature and in the forest,
in different seasons.
The spirit of the forest, it tells the
story of the forest. It can also be sensation or feeling, wooded
moment of peace of mind, beautiful view, aesthetic pleasure or curing
light of the sun…What do the woods of the forest whisper to you?
